TERMS & CONDITIONS

Te Puna applies conditions on the use of the venue and associated area at its discretion. These terms and conditions may be varied at any time in consultation with the hirer.

In the event of a natural event outside of our control, Te Puna reserves the right to cancel or postpone this event.
The security bond or part thereof will be retained should terms and conditions be breached.

To follow are the conditions which must be met as terms of this contract;

A health and safety warning must be given to your guests. A script will be provided at the event planning stage.

You will need to select a person/persons to act as a responsible person; they will be required to complete a short training video for the purpose of carrying out this role.

Access to the venue is noted on the booking form, and permitted for the purposes given only. During set-up, pack-down and the event itself Te Puna is closed between midnight and 7am and the premises must be vacated unless written agreement is given. Monies will be deducted from the bond each time there is an infringement of the permitted access times. Overnight stays are not permitted.

An Alcohol Management Plan must be provided to Te Puna no later than 7 days prior to the event. Te Puna insists on adherence to the Sale of Liquor Act should suitable licences be in place for your event.

The venue must be tidied (and cleaned if self-cleaning) by the time specified for pack-down in the booking form. This includes but is not limited to the removal of all rubbish, making good any damage, removing all hired equipment from the site. Self-cleaners must supply their own cleaning products and equipment, use of Te Puna‘s cleaning products and equipment will be deducted from the bond.

Consumables supplied by Te Puna must be used appropriately for the event, excessive use or removal of unused toilet paper, hand towels, hand soap or any cleaning supplies will be deducted from the bond.

Should the event involve confetti this should be restricted to real flower petals or rice/rice paper.

Fires or fireworks are only permitted with our consent. Please note rural fire bans may be in place which will prevent all fires.

Manawatu District Council noise regulations must be adhered to. In line with good neighbour principles amplified or excessive noise volume (85db inside the venue) must be reduced at 10:00pm and cease at 11:30pm. In the event of complaints or disputes Te Puna reserves the right to require noise to be reduced. Monies will be deducted from the bond if requests for reduction in noise levels are not respected or if the noise does not cease at 11:30pm.

Vehicles must not obstruct access for emergency or farming vehicles. Parking must be limited to the Te Puna carpark and not at the residential property or along Lethbridge Road.

Te Puna’s private property, including all farm vehicles and farm supplies (this includes hay bales and silage), are for owner use only. Farm building and facilities are strictly off limits.

Any chattles used by the hirer in agreement with Te Puna must be returned to their original position and treated appropriately (including making sure indoor furniture is not left outside overnight and that chattle use and placement is appropriate for it‘s type and purpose).

Date reservation will not be made until the booking form and non-refundable booking fee are received.

All fees must be paid in full 3 months prior to the event.

Insurance of any vehicles, equipment or property brought onto site are the responsibility of the hirer.

Te Puna must be supplied with the contact details of any contractors engaged by the hirer no later than 14 days prior to the event.
